Reusable Packaging

Even though the formula of hand sanitizer is extremely important, the packaging of the product is also a vital factor of the production and manufacturing process. As you may already be aware of, we at Zatik always try our best to ensure that our packaging is as environmentally safe as possible. This does not exclude our hand sanitizer packaging.

If you did not already know, Zatik Hand Sanitizer comes in two sizes: a 2oz plastic bottle, and a 14oz aluminum pouch. The reason why we decided to package our smaller size into plastic bottles is for customer convenience during use. Since most people keep these plastic bottles in their purses or backpacks, we knew that the most practical packaging to use for this product is a plastic bottle. In addition, during the pandemic, the packaging and bottle options were very limited, and as a result, we had very few options to choose from. Though we always try to avoid using plastic across all of our products, we wanted to ensure that those who used our small sanitizers were satisfied.

On the other hand, however, to sort of make up for the fact that we use plastic bottles, our team came together and discussed what we could do to have a larger sized hand sanitizer that had eco-friendly packaging. In the end, we decided to go with an aluminum, refillable pouch. This pouch is not only reusable, but it is also biodegradable. We encourage our customers to purchase one of these pouches along with their small bottles, so that they can simply refill the same plastic bottle, instead of purchasing more little bottles. This way, we can minimize the production and manufacturing of plastic bottles, and have people use the refillable pouches instead. If you are local to Glendale, California you may also stop by and get your refillable pouches refilled at a much-discounted price instead of purchasing brand new one. Yes, 2020 is the year Zatik pushed out the refillary concept and since we make new batches all the time, we opened our doors to refill for our customers by the ounce.
